Funny Habits

I just thought of penning down a few of the funniest habits I see in people!!

But then, I thought why not ponder opon my own habits - that are funny and maybe irritating to some!!

Habit 1.

Any person sitting next to me cannot scribble on a book with a pen. I snatch away the pen and hand over a pencil.

Habit 2.

If I have to go anywhere out of station, I pack all my stuff atleast a month in advance leaving my poor hubby fumbling for the most important things for weeks. Needless to mention his reaction when he realises its 'already' PACKED.

My Indianapolis friends can testify I started my packing 3 months before I had to move to India from US.

Habit 3.

I often turn to VICI (Voice Input Child Identicant of Small Wonders fame) mode . What happens with the people around me can be guessed!

Habit 4.
I love excel sheets!! I work on them extensively for any analysis, research work, studies, making notes. And even to save important chats, mail contents, and any typically prosaic stuff.

Habit 5.

Something really weird - My friends in school and college sitting next to me may remember. Once in a while, I would just put a dot in their copies with a pen. A dot and only a dot. Don't know why, but I often had a craving to do so, and I would not do it more than once a day(I guess so!!)

Funny habits.... see the space for more!

Disneyland & my love for PINK color

I just happened to remember.... sometime... long long ago......, I created a blog. I used my universal ID and password and got logged in!!

Experimenting with customization, I happened to find a template painted in all PINK!

And I was tempted to select that without further probing!

My love for PINK color is probably as old as I am!! My mom says when I was barely 2 yrs old, my infatuation with the color started. At that age, I refused to wear a dress(lehenga) that was blue in color, for my uncle's wedding, because it was not PINK. All the members of the family tried, but failed. And utlimately, I attended the wedding in a simple plain PINK frock.

My dad says I would often demand my hair to be turned PINK, and he had to appease me by assuring they would... one day when I grow bigger!

And then I remember selecting all dresses that were PINK, all the dolls in PINK color, PINK sandles, PINK hairbands, and even PINK-glassed goggles. And the PINK frilled frock my dad got from Philippines(in which one of my childhood friends commented that I looked an angel), I remember I wore it in all parties I attended over the next 2 years. And I had even renamed myself 'PINKi' and insisted my parents to call me by this name ONLY. Incidently my best friend's nick-name was PINKulu(Telugu effect!) too!!

Of what I remember, I was highly fantasised by fairy-tales, stories of princesses - all in PINK from head-to-toe, of PINK castles, and of princes coming on white horses(or did I think even the horses were PINK???). and then Pran's PINKi(of diamond comics) too dominated the fantasies of the rest of my childhood!

Gradually, the significance of PINK color reduced in my lifeāĨ¤ With school & college life, black & white became more prominent in the form of loads of books! And then my computer display settings were changed to silver and other shades of gray to sooth the eyes! With marriage, shades of red and maroon entered my life.

A recent trip to Disneyland, LA, California ferried me back to the PINK days of my life. The cartoon and fairytale characters all over the fun land were highly overwhelming!! And I met all my princesses too, as if they were all real-life people - Cindrella, Princess Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, etc.

Though for a day, PINK - the color of childhood, innocence, dreams & fantasies was back in my life! And once again, I saw the world with rose-colored spectacles!!
